Russia, Ireland and Hawaii. FASTEN YOUR SEATBELTS PLEASE! – Lord Willy's. Established.

Man holding Umbrella with a TV on his head. Television.

The Great. Hulu.
This beautifully art-directed Hulu production is described as a genre-bending, anti-historical ride through 18th-century Russia following the wildly comedic rise of Catherine the Nothing to Catherine the Great.
The costumes and the casting are only secondary to the comedic interpretations. You have two seasons to indulge yourselves with. Season 1 is described as "An Occasionally True Story" and Season 2 deems itself, "An Almost Entirely Untrue Story."
If you're a fan of irreverence, costume, wit, diverse casting, art direction or historical settings, this one scores great on all. "Huzzah!"!

Bloodlands. Acorn TV.
Set in current times, but deeply rooted in the Anglo-Irish troubles which took place between the late 1960s until the 1990s. This thriller is a good reminder that some things are best left in the past and that whilst differences will always remain, the alternative is not a place either side wants to go back to.
The storyline focuses on the abduction of a former IRA member. The lead officer in the investigation is DCI Tom Brannick who is forced to confront an assassin who haunts his own past.

The White Lotus. HBO.
And now for something completely different. The White Lotus is billed as a social satire. The series follows the vacations of various hotel guests over the span of a week as they attempt to relax and rejuvenate in paradise (Hawaii). But with each passing day, a darker complexity emerges in the cast of picture-perfect travelers, the hotel’s cheerful employees, and the idyllic locale itself.
You will never stay at a resort again and not wonder what's really going on in paradise.
